Epson (Los Alamitos, California) will release its SureLab D1070-Series of professional Minilab Photo Printers that offer fast, high-volume output and exceptional print quality in a compact design to meet the growing demand for small-format photos. Epson’s SureLab D1070 and SureLab D1070DE Photo Printers are designed for retail, event and e-commerce applications. The SureLab D1070DE adds a duplex feeder to provide automatic double-sided printing on sheet media that’s ideal for photobooks, greeting cards, invitations, postcards and more. Their unique design seamlessly integrates into today’s modern workflows. The SureLab D1070 will be available in the Fall of 2021 and the SureLab D1070DE will be available in 2022.
The new SureLab D1070 and D1070DE deliver print speeds up to 460 4”x6”, 275 5”x7” or 140 8”x10” photos per hour, and are up to 10% faster than previous generation models. Leveraging an enhanced 6-channel MicroPiezo printhead, AccuPhoto image processing technology, and vivid UltraChrome D6r-S dye-based inks, the printers deliver vibrant, true-to-life images and can accurately reproduce subtle tones in portrait photos with smooth transitions and crisp, sharp details, said Epson. When coupled with Epson Genuine Photo Media, prints are also water, smudge and fade-resistant. Additional features include high-capacity 250 ml ink packs that deliver a wide colour gamut, versatile media handling via high-capacity roll and double-sided or single-sided sheet media, a new LCD control panel that simplifies print tasks and operation, new nozzle detection and alignment technology that reduces downtime, and a high-speed rotary cutter ideal for photo booths, portrait and event photography, and much more.
