EyeC upgrades its print-inspection software with Proofiler 4.2

The EyeC Proofiler 900 RS/1050 RS Passage Scanner

EyeC has introduced its Proofiler Version 4.2 software with an update that offers Braille and code inspections for embossing and labels, as well as additional software modifications to enhance precision and the overall user experience. According to EyeC, the updated Proofiler 4.2 software expands the Braille inspection function, which includes the detection of Braille dots that are embossed too high. The company added that the new algorithm delivers more precise and stable inspection results. Version 4.2 also features a new code consistency inspection, in which all codes of the same type are checked for the same content. This enables incorrect codes to be detected, even if the content and quality meet requirements.

Proofiler Version 4.2 also offers additional software modifications, including a new, 45-degree Rotation Function that enables heavily nested and twisted ups to be checked on a step-and-repeat basis. EyeC added that the new Proofiler is designed to ensure an optimal user experience with developments such as the PDF Report and the Independent Reviewer Workforce. Its newest Proofiler version also supports the recently introduced EyeC Proofiler 900 RS/1050 RS Passage Scanner, an entry-level product in the premium segment “aimed at offering high-quality image inspection at an attractive price/performance ratio.” Options including 1D and 2D code reading and colour-distance measurement. Its Pharma Security Workflow also makes the new RS system the ideal scanner for print-image inspection of print sheets, package inserts, labels, and other large-format samples in the print shop, as well as outgoing/incoming goods inspection, said EyeC.
