SwissQprint unveils Kudu UV LED Printer

SwissQprint unveils Kudu UV LED Printer
The swissQprint Kudu

SwissQprint’s new Kudu high-end flatbed printer is a 3.2 × 2 metre UV LED flatbed printer that complements the OEM’s existing flatbed lines – Nyala, Impala and Oryx. The 4th generation of this trio, Kudu “operates at a redefined standard of quality.” It’s also highly productive and offers 10 colour channels instead of 9 on the other 3 models. At its maximum productivity of 300 square metres per hour, Kudu can deliver a resolution of up to 1,350 dpi.

The new flatbed stands on a newly designed mechanical foundation and operates using the latest linear drives to ensure precise ink droplet placement at high speeds. Kudu also features Tip Switch Vacuum, like the other flatbed and roll-to-roll printers from swissQprint. In the case of Kudu, it’s divided into 260 zones that give the operator simple and selective control of the vacuum. Lory, the output software developed in-house by swissQprint, is Kudu’s graphical user interface designed for intuitive and safe operation.

Kudu, like all swissQprint flatbed printers, is also expandable with a roll-to-roll option. As mentioned, it’s the first swissQprint model to feature 10 colour channels, which further increases application diversity. Users configure the channels according to their individual needs, and can adapt the configuration at any time. The newly developed universal ink (Greenguard Gold Certified) is available in CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, light black, white, effect varnish and primer, as well as the spot colours orange and neon yellow and pink – a swissQprint exclusive.
