The cover and insert was produced using MetalMaX, another proprietary technique developed in combination with the Gas Company and Type A Print. Initially developed for high-end cosmetic colour print production, this unique process uses a high-chroma process ink series along with special pigments, varnishes and compounds, to recreate a vivid, realistic metallic colour spectrum. The process can be used to build delicate metallic layers subtly into the background of an image, or to reproduce with accuracy the most challenging metallic paint colours for the jewelry, cosmetic or automotive industries.
