Roland DGA launches Metaza MPX-95 Photo Impact Printer and Gift Kit

Roland DGA (Irvine, CA), a leading provider of digital fabrication tools including 3D milling machines, 3D printers and engraving machines, has unveiled a new photo impact printer, the Metaza MPX-95, as well as an optional Gift Kit, for personalizing metallic and plastic items with photos, logos, names, messages and other decorations. With its diamond stylus and powerful impact force, the MPX-95 can imprint on metals such as stainless steel, iron, titanium, platinum, gold, silver, copper, nickel and aluminum – as well as plastics – quickly and accurately. Applications include personalized pens, smart devices, jewellery and pendants, trophies and awards, watches and belt buckles.
According to Matt Anderson, Roland DGA’s 3D Solutions Product Manager, the MPX-95 and Gift Kit were developed primarily for kiosks, gift shops, jewellery stores and other outlets selling products on-demand. “Together, they form an unbeatable, compact solution for customizing the type of products these retailers offer,” said Anderson. “Equipped with an MPX-95 and the Gift Kit, even novices can create stunning personalized items featuring detailed graphics, text and photographs.” Incorporating a removable base table and plate, the MPX-95 is capable of working with larger items like golf club heads, vases and tumblers. It comes standard with Metaza Studio software and a built-in laser pointer that assists in identifying the areas to be marked, making it easy for users to imprint items without any special training. The Gift Kit includes a fully-adjustable center vice with clamp pins that holds irregular-shaped items for repeat personalization, plus a standard center vice that enables imprinting onto different items quickly.
