Sinapse Print Simulators (Saint-Aubin, France), the world’s leading supplier of print training simulators for flexo, gravure and offset presses, has released Print Simulator Suite 8 which is now more web-based to offer easier, more flexible training solutions. Two types of installations are now possible with Version 8: Standard perpetual software locally installed on a computer with group management (DLMS) through the Internet (as previously); and use of software in the cloud with subscriptions.
Some new features of Suite 8 include:

  • Software is installed and maintained in the cloud – no local installation and no maintenance.
  • Simulators are always available from anywhere in the world.
  • They can be used with PC, MAC, tablets, iPad, Android and smartphones.
  • More flexibility via monthly, quarterly and annual subscription packages.
  • An account in the Cloud is included for each trainer for the duration of the subscription or support contract.
  • Customize training tool. Users can create and publish their exercises, print jobs and easily assign them to students with the new Publication Module of the DLMS.
  • New print jobs and exercises also available in Flexo.
  • Same hardware as TouchConsoles for Shots and Heatset. Add a TouchConsole Module and three screens to transform simulator into a realistic press console.
  • More statistics of the sessions are provided to the administrators and trainers for each group and user including completed exercises, beginning of sessions and time spent.
  • Users can now schedule training sessions with beginning and end dates.
