Avanti Computer Systems Limited, a leading Canadian provider of Print MIS solutions, has named John P. Alden as the company’s Vice President of Sales. The former Xerox sales executive brings extensive print industry experience to Avanti and will lead its sales and business development efforts worldwide. “The enormous success of Avanti Slingshot demands a sales leader with the drive and vision to take its momentum to the next level,” said Avanti President and CEO Patrick Bolan. “John Alden is that leader. Avanti is focused on helping print operations achieve maximum productivity and profitability, so John’s expertise in both technology and processes make him a perfect fit for our organization and for our clients and industry partners.”
Alden joins Avanti after 17 years at Xerox Corporation. While at Xerox, he led regional sales of digital production colour presses, including the flagship iGen line, and developed extensive experience working with commercial print shops, in-plant print facilities, federal government accounts and other clients. “I’ve been working with the Avanti team for years thanks to Avanti’s tight integration with Xerox’s FreeFlow digital workflow collection,” Alden added. “I’m excited to now be leading the sales team and working with our partners to drive Avanti Slingshot’s market growth.”
