Mississauga-Ontario-based PSI Engineering will debut its Color Laser Mail 7000 Digital Envelope Printer that can print, in one pass, up to 70 full-colour personalized envelopes per minute in 4-colour or 5-colour. With on-demand variable data/variable image printing, it can accommodate opaque white or clear – adding depth, impact and style to prints by allowing white printing on dark-coloured media. It’s also ergonomically designed for comfort and safety and can be used as a multifunctional office colour laser printer or high quality proofing printer. Its ‘straight-thru’ print path handles a wide variety of media without jamming.
“To compete in the high quality, short-run, direct-mail colour envelope printer marketplace, you need a printer that can deliver speed, ease of use and affordability. The Color Laser Mail 7000 is a workhorse that turns out breathtaking output unmatched by ordinary colour printers,” said John Panunto, President of PSI Engineering. “The Color Laser Mail 7000 digital print system produces razor-sharp, vibrant images. While most imaging devices employ technologies that are 1 bpp (bits per pixel), the Color Laser Mail 7000 uses LED imaging technology delivering an optical resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi,” Panunto added.
PSI Engineering’s toner-based printing system uses single-pass colour digital technology. The ‘straight-thru’ print path can handle media thickness up to 450 gsm and supports a wide variety of envelope sizes – from 3” x 5” (7.6 x 12.7 cm) to 13” x 26” (33 x 66 cm). Other print media include tabloid extra 12” x 18” (30.5 cm x 45.7 cm), tabloid 10” x 17” (25.4 cm x 43.1 cm), legal, letter, executive, index cards and banners up to 13” x 52” (33 cm x 132 cm). Designed for short-run production, the 7000 holds up to 1,000 envelopes or 4,000 sheets of bond paper. Its load and remove on-the-fly feeder/stacker can load and stack up to 1,000 pieces of material, and can feed difficult stocks – such as card stock, postcards, glossy stock and labels.
PSI Engineering will also be displaying its Laser Mail DPT 2432 Desktop Envelope Printer. With its compact design, the DPT 2432 is a variable digital tabletop printer that easily fits on most desktops. In one pass, it can laser print high quality, full-colour envelopes complete with return address, indicia, mailing address, teaser and barcodes. Businesses and small offices can also print business cards, postcards, brochures, presentations, holiday greeting cards, stationery and thank-you cards ranging from 3” x 5” to 11.6” x 52.”
PSI Engineering will be located in booth 156 at Graph Expo 15 that will take place September 13 – 16 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
