Standard Finishing Systems, an industry leader and supplier of post-press and paper-handling solutions, has promoted Paul Steinke to National Sales Manager. Steinke is a seasoned sales professional who brings 33 years of industry experience, technical background, applications’ knowledge, and strong customer focus to his new role. As National Sales Manager, he will be taking the reins of “a well-established network of graphic arts dealers and an experienced sales team that provides coast-to-coast coverage and support to Standard’s North American dealer network, customer base and printer vendor partners.” In his new position, he will work closely with Standard’s Director of Sales, George Vergilis. Steinke has worked in a variety of roles during his 27-year career at Standard, beginning in a technical capacity and spending the last 15 years primarily focused on sales. His many sales positions include Digital Systems Specialist, Territory Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and most recently, Key Account Manager – where he helped build the highly integrated print finishing operations of Standard’s leading strategic accounts.
“This is an important time in the development and growth at Standard. We have innovative products, exceptional employees and many opportunities ahead of us,” said David Reny, Executive Vice President, Standard Finishing Systems. “After evaluating many external candidates, we believe that Paul is the right person for this critical position to help us move Standard forward to the next level of company performance.”
standardsteinke1-inSteinke will transition out of his current role as Key Account Manager over the next few months and will relocate from his Georgia office to the Standard’s Andover, Massachusetts headquarters later this year. “I’m very much looking forward to this new position, especially at a time when the print industry poses such challenges and opportunities that require creative thinking and outside-the-box solutions” said Steinke. “With world-class manufacturers Horizon and Hunkeler, a strong dealer network and an experienced sales team, Standard is perfectly poised to help customers increase post-press productivity and drive real savings through highly automated, fully-integrated solutions.”
Standard Finishing Systems celebrated “100 Years of Finishing Strong” in 2010. The company utilizes a network of independent dealers and a direct sales force throughout Canada and the United States.
