Sign Manufacturing Day 2015 was held Friday, October 2 to showcase careers in the sign and visual communications industry to the next generation of potential employees. The third annual event was sponsored by the International Sign Association (ISA) and the National Association of Manufacturers. In total, 33 sign manufacturers across Canada and the United States opened 42 locations and gave generously of their time, expertise and advice. Sign Manufacturing Day brings high school, community college and technical school students to sign shops to learn more about careers in the industry. The event is held the first Friday of October every year.
“This event clearly has struck a chord with national and custom sign companies as well as suppliers and manufacturers,” said Lori Anderson, ISA President and CEO. “Some of our companies have come back for three years now and continue to look for ways to grow the event. And some of our new participants had some interesting things planned.
