The global market leader for web-fed offset presses, Manroland Web Systems GmbH, has reported that 2015 sales revenues are expected to total about 240 million Euros. Order intake for new machines in 2015 will reach about 140 million Euros – which represents a significant increase compared to 2014. As a result, the OEM’s worldwide market share is expected to exceed 40%.
“The company’s earnings before tax will be positive as well, expected at a median single-digit-million Euro amount,” said Managing Director Jörn Gossé. “Due to the raised order intake level, further improved profits are expected for 2016. Our growth is based on market share gains still in a stagnating market environment. Furthermore, we improved our position in the market for digital printing systems achieving excellent growth rates with our digital finishing lines,” he added.
Manroland Web Systems’ management team will also remain in 2016. In January of 2016, Alexander Wassermann will start as second Managing Director in Augsburg, Germany, next to Gossé. Wassermann brings a successful 16-year career with the paper machine business unit of Voith, Heidenheim.
He was previously employed at Bielomatik Leuze GmbH, a manufacturer of printing press accessories. As of January 1, Wassermann will be responsible for service, production and human resources, while Gossé will continue to be responsible for new machinery sales, subsidiaries, technology and finance.
