Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund elects new executives

The Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund (CPISTF) has elected three of our industry’s best printing leaders and executives to administer its fund in the future.
With the recent retirement of Don Gain (Chair) and Wayne Burroughs (Treasurer), the Board of Trustees has elected Jeff Ekstein, President of Willow Printing Group, as its Chair, Mike Collinge, President and CEO of Webcom, as Vice Chair, and Sean Murray, President of Advocate Printing and Publishing, as Treasurer.
About the fund

The Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund was initiated by the Canadian Printing Industries Association in 1971 through the efforts of a group of visionary printing industry executives.

The primary objective of the Fund is to attract the most talented young people available to the printing industry by providing financial assistance to them while they’re enrolled in a graphic arts management or technical program.
Thousands of dollars in scholarships
The Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund (CPISTF) provided a total of $56,000 in scholarships to thirty-five students in 2015. The generous support by companies and individuals involved in the Canadian printing industry enables the Fund to continue to provide financial assistance to students while they’re enrolled in an approved graphic arts management or technical program in Canada.

Submission deadline
Students enrolled in a graphic arts program in Canada can apply for scholarships up to Friday, July 8, 2016.
