This first-ever show will take place Saturday, February 4, 2017 at The Club at White Oaks in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is an art gallery and studio located in a heritage building circa 1891 on the banks of the Niagara River. A not-for-profit organization, the centre engages the community through educational programs, exhibitions and special events. The centre cordially invites established and emerging artists to submit their applications. “This unique art event will be a premiere, juried art show for high quality fine art and master crafts, and will feature the region’s best established and emerging artists,” said Rima Boles, Executive Director of The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. “In partnership with The Club at White Oaks, this event will attract tourists, residents and patrons of the arts from across the province and the United States.”
Application fee is just $10
Live entertainment, food and wine, demonstrations and workshops will add to this special event’s appeal, which will be supported by the over 4,000 members of The Club and The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. Best in Show awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be presented at the end of the evening. Winners’ work will also be showcased at The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre during the 2017 season. The centre added that it will not be taking any commissions on art sold by exhibitors at the inaugural show and the price of $250 for the exhibit space will be guaranteed for the following year for all its inaugural artists. The application fee is only $10. “This is our biggest event to date, as influential art, cultural, philanthropic and business leaders are expected to attend,” Boles added. “Proceeds will go to supporting the programs and initiatives of The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre.”
