OPIA’s Captain of Industry Dinner October 19 to recognize Globe and Mail’s Phillip Crawley

The Ontario Printing & Imaging Association (OPIA) has named Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail, as its Captain of Industry for 2016. Crawley oversees the strategy and operations of The Globe and Mail newspaper, its websites including globeandmail.com, reportonbusiness.com and globeinvestor.com, and magazines including Report on Business.
During his tenure, newspaper and its staffers have won 58 National Newspaper Awards and been honoured by several organizations. Prior to joining The Globe and Mail, Crawley held a variety of senior executive positions with some of the world’s leading media companies in Europe, Asia and New Zealand. He’s a passionate speaker and will give you his insights on the importance of print and where the advertising world is headed in the future. This is one fascinating evening you won’t want to miss.
OPIA’s Captain of Industry Dinner will take place Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at St. George’s Golf and Country Club, 1668 Islington Avenue in Etobicoke, Ontario. Registration begins at 5:30 pm, dinner is at 6:30 pm and the presentation will occur at 8:30 pm. No jeans or cellphones are permitted in the facility. The cost is $75 (plus HST) each for OPIA members and guests, and $125 (plus HST) each for non-OPIA members. Cancellations will be accepted until Friday, October 14, 2016. After that date, all no-shows and cancellations will be charged.
