Editor’s corner – March 2017

With Canada’s largest tradeshow for the printing industry, Graphics Canada, taking place April 6-8, I thought I’d make you aware of other important events that might fly under your radar. Xplor International (the worldwide electronic document systems association) will hold its Xploration 17 Conference March 28-30 in Orlando, Florida. The event will include over 60 educational sessions, case studies, best practices and industry trends presented by a diverse group of end users, industry analysts, consultants and vendors.
The tenth anniversary Print UV 2017 Conference will bring together the best UV printers and most influential vendors in the UV sector in Las Vegas, Nevada March 29-31. Attendees will learn about everything from sales strategies, to manufacturing, to the development of new products and services. They’ll also catch up on the latest advances in inks, coatings and equipment, and explore the latest technologies – such as High Wavelength UV.
The InPrint USA Industrial Print Show will take place in Orlando, Florida April 25-27. This exhibition is for industrial printing technology for advanced packaging and manufacturing. The European-based show comes to the U.S. for the first time, focusing on connecting firms who use print as a key component of their manufacturing processes. These will include leading brands in industrial specialty, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D printing. Exhibitors will show the latest technologies for printing on metal, plastics, foils, textiles, glass, ceramics, wood and other substrates.
Closer to home, the ninth edition of the Grafik’Art tradeshow will be held May 12-13 at Montreal’s Place Bonaventure. This year, Grafik’Art will highlight three specific zones – packaging, textile printing and promotional products – in addition to demonstrations, workshops and industry equipment and software leaders showcasing their latest products and services.
The Advanced Design and Manufacturing Expo May 16-18 at the Toronto Congress Centre will bring the region’s leading advanced manufacturing events – ATX Canada, Design & Manufacturing Canada, Packex Toronto, Plast-Ex, and Powder & Bulk Solids Toronto – together under one roof. This includes breakthrough products and networking opportunities. Visitors will get direct access to the latest technologies in automation and robotics, packaging, plastics and processing across the entire product lifecycle.
Until next time, always remember that we’re here to help you.
