On Wednesday, March 29, GMG joined partners Hybrid Software, Measure Color, Techkon and ThermoFlexX at a Best in Class Workshop held at the Element Vaughan Southwest in Vaughan, Ontario just north of Toronto. A group of printers, designers, converters and other graphic arts professionals attended sessions that showcased a specific packaging project moving through the complete prepress process – from the PDF file submission through to extended gamut colour separation, proofing, trapping, step-and-repeat and platemaking – in an innovative workflow that was previously not possible.
The workshop showed how these new tools address the most pressing issues that packaging providers face today. These days, everyone is looking to get more done with less, and those who attended learned how to dramatically increase throughput and job quality with much less.
GMG is a leading developer and global supplier of high-end colour management software solutions. Its customers span a wide range of industries and application areas including advertising agencies, prepress houses, offset, flexo, packaging, digital, large-format printers and gravure printers.
