The Watkiss PowerSquare 224, a complete bookmaking system for digital and offset print applications, can now be fully automated via Ultimate Technographics’ Bindery Workflow for Finishing. The combined solution accelerates the crossover point from offset to digital, said Montreal-based Ultimate. The Watkiss PowerSquare can stitch up to 224 square-edged pages. In this workflow, Ultimate Bindery validates jobs for to ensure that only certified print jobs will finish appropriately. Once the projects are validated, Ultimate Bindery delivers finishing job tickets to automate make-readies. It operates between prepress and the Watkiss PowerSquare to eliminate manual set-ups. Ultimate Bindery saves time with a faster turnarounds and eliminates waste.
