Agfa Graphics’ Jeti Tauro H2500 LED wide-format printer is a 2.5-metre-wide hybrid UV inkjet printer with an integrated roll-to-roll system that features continuous and automated feeding of a wide range of flexible and rigid media – including several types of corrugated board. The Jeti Tauro will now rely on LED-curing technology as an alternative for high-energy-consuming mercury bulb lamps. “Equipped with UV LED lamps for the curing process, the Jeti Tauro LED comes with a number of economical and ecological benefits,” said Reinhilde Alaert, Product Manager at Agfa Graphics Europe. “LEDs have minimal heat output, for example, which allows for printing on thin, heat-sensitive media such as styrene sheets and rolls. They also ensure very stable bi-directional calibration and higher system uptimes (no warming up or cooling down time) on top of the significant power savings. All of that has a positive effect on the ROI of the system.”
Other Agfa UV inkjet printers with LED curing include the new Jeti Ceres RTR3200 LED, the true flatbed six colour + white Jeti Mira 2732 HS LED and the hybrid Anapurna H3200i LED. Agfa Graphics Canada is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
