American Forest & Paper Association releases April 2017 Containerboard Report

On May 16, The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its April 2017 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report, including audited data for 2016 and 2017 based on the results of AF&PA’s 57th Annual Capacity Survey issued this month.
The report showed that containerboard production was 4.8% higher compared to April of 2016. The month-over-month average daily production compared to March 2017 was 2.7% higher. The containerboard operating rate for April increased from 96.7% to 97.1%, which was 1.9% higher compared to April of last year.
