Xplor International is now accepting applications for its 2017 Member Scholarship Program up to the deadline of Friday, July 14, 2017. In 2010, Xplor decided to go beyond its traditional member offerings to help promote and support the next generation of industry professionals. The Xplor Member Scholarship program was founded to provide financial assistance to Xplor members and their immediate families who are pursuing careers in the field of document and communication technology – including such studies as web design, marketing, IT, business, print, cyber security, and so on. The program is funded by the generosity of Xplor’s Elite Sponsors – namely NEPS, Crawford Technologies, GMC Software Technology, Canon Solutions America, Compart, OpenText Exstream, Ricoh and Solimar Systems.
To qualify, you must be a current Xplor member (or immediate family member) and maintain a 3.0 GPA at a four-year or two-year college or university degree program in Canada or the United States. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their application submission, response to an essay question, as well as academic achievements, participation in school activities and service in their respective communities. “The scholarship program is a great member benefit,” said Skip Henk, President and CEO of Xplor International. “Not only are members eligible, but their spouses, children and grandchildren are as well. I encourage all members to apply.” Each year, scholarships are awarded in various denominations, up to $1,000 (USD). Sine 2012, students from Ryerson University’s School of Graphic Communications Management’s four-year degree-granting program have, along with U.S. students, been named as recipients. Again, the deadline for applications is Friday, July 14, 2017.
