Mammoth Imaging (Mississauga, Ontario), a specialist in delivering innovative fabric displays, is one of the few companies in Canada to excel in 3.2-metre dye sublimation fabric printing in super-wide format. Its production facility in Mississauga, Ontario is equipped with the best equipment in the world that’s primed to produce photo-quality, dye-sublimated printing on fabric. The independently owned shop has a history that dates back 17 years, when it first opened business as “Beyond Signs” in 2000. It’s been serving the Greater Toronto Area for more than 18 years, serving a client base that expands every year throughout Canada, the U.S. and beyond.
To continue this expansion and remain on the cutting edge of technology, Mammoth Imaging recently took delivery of Canada’s first Mimaki TS500P-3200 super-wide dye sublimation printer. The choice of a TS500P-3200 printer was quite easy for Mammoth Imaging’s President, Shah Dayan. “Mimaki is an industry leader in dye-sublimation printing,” said Dayan. “They’re a proven manufacturer with many years of reliability and success, which is why it was an easy choice for us. The wide range of colour gamut achievability, quality, speed and the fantastic take-up system on the TS500P-3200 printer were clear attractions for us.”
Mammoth Imaging specializes in all types of tradeshow displays, and uses the TS500P-3200 printer to create tension fabric structures, hanging signs, pop-up and retail displays, table throws, banner stands, flags, canopies and more. Mammoth’s customers throughout Canada and the U.S. said that they appreciate the vibrant colours on fabric that the company’s staff can achieve using the new printer.
The TS500P-3200 is a 3.2-metre-wide dedicated transfer model developed for production transfer runs, to create extra-wide textile applications such as soft signage, home furnishing and hospitality fabrics. Designed to print onto the thinnest of transfer papers, it includes a high-gap printhead that’s unaffected by cockling (which is a common occurrence when using thin media), while maintaining extremely high output quality.
High print speeds of up to 180 square metres per hour can be achieved in four-colour mode. “The TS500P-3200 printer quadrupled our print production speed,” Dayan added. “We appreciate the peace of mind we get from the printer that delivers fantastic, super quality, seamless printing.”
