Jay Mandarino, President & CEO of The C.J. Group of Companies (Mississauga, Ontario), has welcomed industry veteran Mike Hartman back to his company as SBC Media Group Publisher. SBC Media Group is a Division of C.J. Oyster Publishing – A Member of The C.J. Group of Companies. Hartman brings over 20 years of action-sports and media experience to the company. He was a former employee of SBC Media Inc. for 11 years, starting in the role of Circulation and Promotions Manager, followed by a promotion to Director of Digital, and eventually becoming Managing Director – where he was responsible for overseeing the operation of all departments within the company. For the past two and a half years, he’s been working as the Associate Publisher/Director of Operations at King Network, where he was instrumental in the successful launch of Forecast Ski Magazine, the re-brand of King Skateboard, and a revamped digital program. In between his time with SBC Media and King Network, he successfully launched Fast Times motorcycle magazine – the first of its kind in Canada to cater to the millennial demographic.
