Sign Expo Canada draws steady crowds

Sign Expo Canada, the Sign Association of Canada’s national trade show took over the International Centre in Mississauga on Sept. 21-22. The event attracted about 3,000 visitors to see the latest technology and products that the Canadian sign industry has to offer, showcased by about 100 exhibitors. Special events this year included the 2018 Sign Association Awards, The Wrap Design Competition, Don Memorial Golf Tournament, Post Move-In Party, 2018 Cross Canada Road Show & Breakfast, Young Professionals Networking Reception, The Signmakers of Montreal documentary, and more. Congratulations to the show’s organizers for putting on another successful event. Here are a few glimpses from this year’s show.
Since 1955, the Sign Association of Canada (SAC-ACE) has successfully promoted the welfare of the sign industry, improved the status of its members in the community, and benefited the users of signs. And while traditional boundaries of the sign industry have expanded due to the rapidly changing level of technology and the evolution of the commercial marketplace, the association has recognized these trends and partnered with related industries and sectors that use, design and manufacture commercial images – all for the benefit of its members. SAC-ACE has also evolved dramatically over the past 5 years by adding new value-added member service programs, developing additional accredited training courses, and talking a highly proactive approach in dealing with governmental and regulatory issues.
