Labelexpo Americas took place September 25-27, 2018 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois – a suburb of Chicago. At the event, Domino, a leading manufacturer and distributor of digital printing and product identification solutions, took a rather unique and all-encompassing approach to after-event marketing. The company created a new ‘voice of the customer’ video that combined expected product benefits with unexpected social interactions and high energy – while highlighting all of the activities that took place at its booth over the tradeshow’s three days. In short, the video showcased customer presentations and live product demonstrations while reflecting the camaraderie that took place each day. To add a personal touch, The Spectrum Brew House served up coffee in the morning and beer in the afternoon (yes, beer!) as the live presentations took place on the Domino stage.
In what the OEM characterized as a “full-throttle, non-stop schedule of events,” the video included live presentations from highly-respected professionals in the label industry, along with equipment demonstrations of the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press and the K600i dual-bar, dual-speed digital UV inkjet printer. Basically, the atmosphere created was one where Labelexpo attendees could “see more, learn more and do more” while getting the information they were seeking via Domino’s tradeshow theme of Your Questions, Answered. The new video included: Kristin Yerecic & Brian Hurst (Yerecic Label); Scott Fisher (Smyth Companies); Kevin Hayes (Outlook Group); Mike Gore & John Becker (Discount Labels); Sean Carty (ProLabel Georgia); Adam Gray (SheetLabels.com); Ramon Fernandez (ProLabel Florida); Steve Katz (L&NW); Cory Francer (packagePRINTING); Simon Gross (CEI); Mike Weyermann (MPS); Dan Muenzer (TLMI); as well as Philip Easton, Julie Cross, Gary Peterson and Emily Kroll (Domino) as well as others.
“Our objective for the video was to take what was a wonderful, three-day event, and highlight in less than five minutes the energy and enthusiasm that took place in the Domino booth,” said Bill Myers, Marketing Manager of Domino Digital Printing North America. “By doing so, it really served two purposes. One, for the people who were not able to make it to Labelexpo, we wanted to provide them with a summary of what they missed. And equally, for the people who were at Labelexpo and stopped by our booth, we wanted to give them a reminder of the fun we had together, and to say ‘thank you’ for making it such a great show. It was truly a celebration with our customers, our prospects, our OEMs, our vendor partners and our employees,” he added.
