Strake maned Eastern Region Sales Mangaer for Matik’s Vinfoil Cold Foil Solutions

Matik (West Hartford, Connecticut), a North American distributor of leading European print and packaging technologies, has appointed Bill Strake as Eastern Region Sales Manager of its Vinfoil Products. In this role, Strake will represent Matik Vinfoil cold foil products throughout Canada, as well as the eastern half of the United States. Strake brings an accomplished career in cold foiling and converting. He’s often been called upon to navigate critical process transformations, with the ability to focus on key areas that will have maximum impact on business results. Most recently, Strake successfully introduced Compact Foiler cold foil systems to the U.S. and sold multiple installations. He continues to sell Cameron slitter/rewinders for GLV (part of Valmet) in the paper and film packaging markets, and for CGA-HolloWrap, stretch and pre-stretch film slitter/rewinders. During his career, Strake has continuously worked to help customers improve their businesses and profitability. He’s also held technical management and product development roles at Cam Tech in Appleton, Wisconsin.

“I’m looking forward to working with Matik’s customers,” Strake said. “A good part of my career has been spent focusing on introducing the latest technologies, an area where Matik represents many exceptional companies. I’m equally impressed with Vinfoil’s cold foil solutions. They’re game changers that can deliver greatly improved performance and profitability for customers. Vinfoil’s foil (MFU) Multi-Foil Foil Saving Unit, (ALUS) Automated Loading and Unloading, and Servo Foil Tension Control, deliver unmatched savings and performance. Most importantly, I view new equipment not only as tools to increase efficiencies, but also as ways to create new product areas to substantially expand businesses. I hope to do the same for Matik customers.”
Steve Leibin.

“We’re very fortunate to add Bill Strake to our Matik team,” said Steve Leibin, Matik President. “He’s a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated member of the print, packaging and converting communities. Bill has considerable experience collaborating with customers, while building trust with cross-functional teams to create new business opportunities. By working with sales, marketing, engineering, R&D and senior leadership teams, he’s been able to champion an extensive portfolio of groundbreaking, technology-driven solutions. We know our customers will be eager to ask Bill to build the same excitement for them with new opportunities based on our wide range of Vinfoil cold foil technologies.”
