Printing industry veteran Gordon Griffiths, in partnership with Bob Dale, have launched Connecting for Results, a Toronto-based consulting firm with a dedicated focus on mergers and acquisitions, management strategies and executive recruiting. “The printing landscape is constantly evolving and I, along with my partners, bring a wealth of experience to help graphic arts companies navigate this shifting environment,” said Griffiths, who is Co-founder and President of the new company. He added that the graphic arts industry is experiencing a transition period where many owners are seeking exit strategies, while other companies are looking to expand their revenue base by entering new markets. Yet, in this environment, he said, it’s often difficult for buyers and sellers to connect and to keep negotiations confidential. “Connecting for Results is uniquely positioned to bring buyers and sellers together and execute transactions that maximize results for all parties.”
Leveraging their in-depth and extensive industry knowledge with a time-tested methodology, its company experts will develop and implement winning strategies for both sellers and buyers. The company’s services extend from the initial preparation of a business, and introductions throughout the negotiation process, to the post-sale transition phase.“Over the course of my career, I’ve bought and sold many businesses, and I know what sellers and buyers are seeking. My partners and I also have extensive contacts throughout Canada and the U.S., giving us access to many potential buyers and sellers,” Griffiths added.
Other areas Connecting for Results will focus on include management strategies, transition management and executive recruiting. Companies not seeking to sell may need to formulate succession plans, create long-term exit strategies, launch new ventures, or divest some business lines. “Often the success of these strategies hinges on placing the right executives and leaders in the right role,” Griffiths added. “Connecting for Results will use its expertise and its wide contact base to identify and implement effective long-term plans and to find, screen and mentor key staff members.” Griffiths and Dale will be backed by a team of experts and consultants with extensive knowledge and experience in strategic and operational management, accounting, business valuations, legal transactions, human resources and change management.
