Agfa Graphics recently upgraded its heavy-duty, large-format, hybrid flagship printer with more new features and user benefits. These include:
- Four-colour and six-colour printheads. The Jeti Tauro H3300 LED now also comes in a 4-colour version (CMYK), which reaches ‘sellable production quality’ in a just 3 passes. The 6-colour version, on the other hand, is ideal for those seeking “unequaled print quality,” said the OEM. It includes light black (CMYKLcLk), that virtually guarantees exceptional neutral gray balance over the total tonal range. Both versions can also print white ink or primer.
- Tauro Automatic Board Feeder (ABF). The new ABF enhances production efficiency by reducing idle time. It’s ideal for shorter runs, and fast and smooth changeovers between different media sizes or types. It consists of manual loading with automatic alignment and transport into the printer. The technology effectively takes over part of an operator’s tasks – including accurate alignment, which is particularly important for high-quality, double-sided printing.
- Jeti Tauro Roll-To-Roll (RTR) Unit. In addition to the existing master RTR version for high-volume print runs, the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED now also features an optional light RTR Unit that’s particularly suited for occasional, short, single roll-to-roll work. That being said, the unit can be quickly converted to sheet mode.
With these new additions, the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED now has six configurations with different levels of automation – including full automation, semi-automation, manual loading and unloading and roll-to-roll printing. Most configurations, said Agfa, can be converted into at least two of the others, except for the full-automation and the master roll-to-roll versions.
