In early 2020, the Champion Imaging Group (Montreal) completed the installation of a new large-format printer. Following their visit to the Printing United tradeshow in October of 2019 in Dallas, Texas, Champion Imaging opted for the Anapurna H3200i UV LED printer from Agfa Graphics Canada. “When we saw the Agfa 10-foot hybrid option, with all the versatility, print quality and speed of this machine, it was for us the best value for our money,” said Pat Perrotta (Production Manager) and Bernie Nadler (Vice President of Sales). Established in 1975, the Champion Imaging Group started as a photo lab and is now one of Canada’s leading producers of larger-format colour graphics for the advertising, retail, display and signage industries.
The Agfa Anapurna H3200i is a UV LED Hybrid Printer that can print rigid and flexible materials up to 10 feet wide with average print speeds of 500 square feet per hour. Its high-speed hybrid UV LED-curable inkjet system with a printing width of 3.2 metres for indoor and outdoor application, is ideal for sign shops, digital printers, photo labs and mid-size graphic screen printers that want to combine board and roll-to-roll print jobs. Its 6-colour engine combines high quality with high productivity, while its white-ink function creates possibilities for printing on transparent materials for backlit applications, or for printing white as a spot colour. The printer is fitted with air-cooled UV LED lights that save energy and time while reducing overall costs. Due to their minimal energy output, they’re also ideal for thin, heat-sensitive materials and lead to faster operations, as they can be switched on and off instantaneously.
