ISA cancels its re-scheduled Sign Expo 2020 annual event

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the International Sign Association (ISA – Alexandria, Virginia) Board of Directors met recently and voted to cancel its signature event – the annual ISA International Sign Expo 2020 that had been re-scheduled to take place August 22-25. The board added: “When ISA made the decision to postpone its scheduled Spring event, we did so at a time when information was changing rapidly. We believed that the impact of ‘flattening the curve’ would result in a return to normalcy and safety much more quickly than it has. This was not an easy decision, but the ISA Board has chosen to cancel the event due to COVID-19. ISA knows that many stakeholders are involved in making the ISA International Sign Expo a “must-attend” event each year, and we want to thank everyone for their time and support.

ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson emphasized that the decision to cancel was a very difficult one - but in the end, was the right thing to do from a health and safety standpoint.

While we won’t be able to gather as a community in 2020, we’re jumping right in to focus on the ISA International Sign Expo 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center (date to be announced). Throughout this pandemic, ISA has been by your side, providing information and resources to help your business meet current challenges and explore ways to rebuild. That will not change. Though we are disappointed that we cannot gather together in person in 2020, our role in providing information, education and opportunities to connect will continue. Thank you again for being a part of the ISA community and we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during these unprecedented times.”
For nearly 70 years, the ISA International Sign Expo has been breaking records in exhibit sales and attendance. Over 20,000 visitors explore the nearly 600 knowledgeable suppliers who come together at this popular annual event. The Expo is where you find everything you need to be successful in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry – including wide-format printing, digital signage, new ideas for printing on substrates, unique applications, accessories that will expand your product lines, LEDs, vehicle wrapping and more. It’s also ideal to get up to speed on important industry issues and an excellent venue to conduct business. Educational opportunities include expert-led, sign-industry-specific educational programs focusing on topics such as graphic design, sign code legislation, business management, sales and marketing, technology and much more.
