OEM Domino (Gurnee, Illinois) continues to expand its digital printing business by introducing its new – and first – X630i Digital Inkjet Press for corrugated production. The introduction will be via a virtual launch event on Tuesday, June 16. Characterized as “The New Business Model for Corrugated Box Printing” the highly automated inkjet printing solution will be reviewed, as well as the launch a new ink set based on new water-based ink technology. Founded in June of 1978, with global headquarters in Cambridge, UK, Domino Printing Sciences has a long and successful history of developing and manufacturing innovative coding, marking and digital inkjet printing technologies. With almost 1,000 worldwide installations based on this proven inkjet platform, Domino will launch its first digital inkjet press for the corrugated industry on what would have been the first day of Drupa 2020.

The virtual event will be moderated by print and packaging industry expert Dr. Sean Smyth, who’ll explore corrugated sector market trends, the impact Covid-19 is having on these, and the growing trend to adopt digital technology. He’ll then interview Finn MacDonald from Kentucky-based Independent II, to discover why they decided to take their first step into digital with Domino. Attendees will also hear from David Ellen, Global Divisional Director at Domino Digital Printing, who’ll provide an overview of the organization, as well as Matt Condon, Domino Business Development Manager, who’ll illustrate the key features and benefits of the X630i Digital Inkjet Press for corrugated printing.
