Komori cancels its participation in drupa 2021

Komori (Tokyo, Japan) has announced that it’s pulling out of drupa 2021, the world’s largest printing industry tradeshow, normally held every four years in Düsseldorf, Germany. Drupa had already been postponed from June of this year to April of 2021. The decision to exit was made in response to the continued spread of COVID-19 and the potential risks of a second or third surge of the pandemic, company officials said in an announcement. “Komori puts the highest priority on ensuring the health and safety of its global customers and employees,” the OEM added.
While these unpredictable circumstances prevent Komori from participating in drupa 2021, it plans to launch a wide array of new products and services in the days to come through open house events, as well as participation in regional exhibitions. New information will also be released on Komori’s plans to utilize various media outlets to stay connected – such as corporate websites, information and video distribution services, emails or SMS, online exhibitions and webinars. Komori joins Manroland, Heidelberg, Xerox and Bobst as major exhibitors who have already withdrawn from the event. Despite these COVID-19-related cancellations, the current booking status remains at an extremely high level with over 1,500 exhibitors and a net hall space of more than 140,000 square meters.
