Mutoh America (Phoenix, Arizona), an industry leader in wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, has released a new heavy-duty feed and take-up system for its roll-to-roll XpertJet printers. The new XpertJet HD Feed and Take-up System can hold rolls up to 220 pounds “which allows roll-to-roll XpertJet customers to run heavy rolls flawlessly through their printers,” said the OEM. The system also comes with adjustable tension bars, as well as adjustable feed and take-up roll holders to ensure that the system is parallel to the printer’s platen – so users who need to run long jobs “can print with confidence knowing that their media will transport through the printer accurately.”
“The XPJ HD Feed and Take-up System has been outfitted with all black panels that carry on the sleek and modern look of the XpertJet printers – and is a fantastic addition, especially for XPJ-1682SR customers looking to crank out prints off heavy rolls,” added Chris Padilla, Eco-Solvent Product Manager at Mutoh America. The new system’s features include:
- Accepts inside and outside wound materials
- Relocated power switch and power plug to front control arm for easier access
- Adjustable tension bars
- Adjustable feed and take-up roll holders
- Supports media up to 220 lbs. with a maximum roll diameter of 9.8” or less
- Supports media up to 64″ wide
