Massilly North America, a global metal packaging manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Brantford, Ontario, and serving North and South America, has invested in its first new Koenig & Bauer MetalStar 3 Metal Decorating Press. The new four-colour press, set to be delivered this Spring, includes a stream feeder and motor-driven roller conveyor. Serving the Canadian and U.S. food and beverage markets with closures, food cans and decorative tins, Massilly will boost production capacity, utilize faster speeds, improve process automation, and facilitate exceptional colour reproduction with its new MetalStar 3 Press. The leading Canadian packaging manufacturer is still experiencing continued growth and steady demand for its metal packaging products.
“We service a wide range of customers in Canada, the U.S. and Central & South America – from small local gourmet jam and sauce producers, to national co-packers of products like pasta sauces, salsas and pickles – all the way to major multinational distributors and brands,” said Garnet Lasby, President of Massilly North America. “To support our recent and future growth, we required additional capacity and turned to the MetalStar 3. We have other Koenig & Bauer equipment in our facility already, which is running quite well. Last year the Massilly Group installed a multi-colour MetalStar Press in a facility in Western Europe. It’s very similar to the one we are installing, so we are familiar with the high performance of the line,” Lasby added.
