OKI Data Americas (Mount Laurel, NJ) has announced its commitment to long-term growth within the specialty printing and imaging technology market – including advancement of its professional series of digital colour devices, and further development of its newly-acquired ColorPainter and Teriostar brands of wide-format printers. OKI Data first established its presence in the printing industry with the introduction of its proColor series of digital production printers. These devices expanded over the years to include: digital envelope printers in CMYK or five-colour (CMYK + white) configurations; digital web presses with finishing, laminating, and digital die-cutting options; and digital production printers in four and five+ colour configurations (featuring white and clear toner) with various media-handling capabilities. Different products currently offer specialized media options – including envelopes, continuous-feed roll labels, transfer media for apparel decorating, and variable data/variable graphics support.
OKI’s newly-acquired ColorPainter line of wide-format printers include a new grand-format printer that delivers “unmatched speed and quality” on media up to 104 inches wide, plus two 64-inch devices, each with distinct features. These offer “vivid and high-density colour for sharp, clear and consistent output at fast speeds,” plus a range of offerings to meet a variety of needs and uses within digital printing environments. Within the Teriostar line, OKI offers LED multifunction printers that deliver fast, high-resolution prints for reprographics, engineering, architectural, CAD and mapping applications.
