Standard Finishing Systems (Andover, MA), a leading supplier of post-press and paper-handling solutions, has announced that industry veteran Karl Belafi Jr. has joined the company as the Territory Sales Manager for Eastern Canada.
Belafi began his professional career 27 years ago at KBR Graphics (Laval, QC), his family’s business, which was the oldest independent printing equipment dealer in Canada until it closed its doors in early 2020 after 42 years of operation. At KBR, he learned the industry from every angle, holding titles such as Service Technician, Horizon Operator Trainer, Marketing Manager, and finally, Director of Sales & Major Accounts. Standard’s lines of finishing solutions were the top product lines for over 32 years at KBR, giving Belafi in-depth knowledge of, and experience with, Standard’s finishing products and technlogy. “I’m ready and excited to hit the ground running at Standard,” Belafi added. “Having worked closely with the company before, it’s been a pleasure reconnecting with familiar faces. I’m looking forward to representing Standard Horizon and Hunkeler’s lines of automated, innovative print-finishing and processing solutions in eastern Canada.”
