Contiweb, a specialist in state-of-the-art technologies for printing, advanced drying and web-handling, has announced the appointment of Ralph Casale as its Sales Manager for North America, effective February 1, 2020. Casale’s responsibilities will include overseeing Contiweb’s sales operations in Canada and the U.S., while reporting to Contiweb Vice President Chuck Irons. Casale brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with extensive knowledge of auxiliary equipment for heatset web-offset applications, having worked in the sector for over 30 years. With considerable awareness of the graphic arts industry in Canada and the U.S., he’s managed multiple national and international corporate accounts in the past.
The OEM added that Casale’s appointment, with his prominent background, “demonstrates Contiweb’s commitment to print providers in the region to deliver solutions that increase performance and reduce costs.” The expansion of its sales force in North America enables Contiweb to better reach existing customers with an installed base of over 750 machines, and advise them on enhancements and aftermarket services. “We’re delighted to welcome Ralph to the Contiweb family,” said Irons. “With not only his extensive experience in the print industry, but also his valuable expertise of auxiliary equipment, Ralph will help strengthen our relationships with our existing customers and help create long-lasting relationships with new ones.”
Contiweb holds a leading position in the European and North American markets and is also extremely successful in Asia, the Pacific, South Africa and South America. As a specialist in the development, production, sales and support of state-of-the-art auxiliaries for web-fed printing presses, Contiweb has diversified its offerings recently to include splicers and dryers for web-offset presses, Vits and JetWeb finishing equipment, auxiliary equipment for inkjet printing presses – and in 2016 it acquired the Intellectual Property for the Thallo Web Offset Press.
