Matik appoints Albrecht to Sales Manager of Label Products

Matik (West Hartford, CT), a North American distributor of leading European print and packaging technologies, has announced the appointment of Kregg Albrecht as Sales Manager, Label Products. In this new role, he’ll represent Matik label products throughout Canada and the eastern half of the U.S. Albrecht has had a very accomplished business career in printing and packaging – including sales, marketing and engineering experience. He’s often been called upon to navigate critical process transformations, with the ability to focus on key areas that will have maximum impact on business results. Most recently, Albrecht was at Essentra and had a 20-year tenure at Nosco, a full-service packaging solutions provider. At Nosco, he held roles of ever-increasing responsibilities, most recently as Vice President of Nosco Solutions Engineering. During his entire stay at Nosco, annual new product sales substantially increased. Albrecht has also held technical management, research engineering, processing engineering and product development roles at Avery Dennison, Fasson North America and Mobil Films Design Products.

Albrecht earned his Bachelor of Science Industrial Engineering Degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), and has received a number U.S. patents and print industry awards for his work. He’ s also been involved with a variety of innovative projects, including security packaging solutions, integrating anti-counterfeiting technologies across label and folding cartons, and launching specialty packaging solutions – including RFID-enabled labels and cartons, booklet labels and low-odour/low-migration packaging.
“I’m looking forward to working with Matik’s customers,” Albrecht said. “A good part of my career has been spent focusing on label technology, an area where Matik represents many exceptional companies. I’ve done a lot of work designing the right press and production workflows— particularly flexo, digital printing and digital finishing—to convert unique materials. Most importantly, I view new equipment not only as tools to increase efficiencies, but also as ways to create new product areas to substantially expand businesses. I hope to do the same for Matik’s customers.”
Steve Leibin.

“We’re very fortunate to add Kregg to our Matik team,” said Steve Leibin, Matik President. He’s a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated member of the print, packaging and converting communities. He also has considerable experience collaborating with customers, while building trust with cross-functional teams to create new business opportunities. By working with sales, marketing, engineering, R&D and senior leadership teams, he’s been able to champion an extensive portfolio of ground-breaking, technology-driven solutions. We know our customers will be eager to ask Kregg to build the same excitement for them with new opportunities based on our wide range of print and packaging technologies.”
