Canon Canada (Brampton, Ontario), a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced the appointment of Naoki “Mike” Sannomiya to the position of Senior Vice-President and General Manager for the company’s Business Information Communications Group (BICG). Sannomiya first joined Canon in 1987 in a sales role with Canon Marketing Japan. Since then, he’s built over 30 years of valuable experience across the Canon family of companies in Japan and North America. He brings with him to Canon Canada an extensive knowledge in marketing, direct sales and solutions’ planning for the company’s business imaging products.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Canon team in Canada,” he said. “I’m excited to learn how we can support our Canadian business partners, and how we can better provide customer-driven, scalable and flexible solutions for organizations of all sizes and industries.” Sannomiya joins Canon Canada from his most recent position as Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Services & Solutions (ESS) Marketing and Strategy for Canon Solutions America (CSA), where he has held tht role since 2017. He played a vital role on CSA’s management team, acting as a key liaison between the ESS Sales, Operations and Corporate Planning teams.
He joins Canon Canada’s Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the Business Information Communications Group’s various channels, sales groups and product lines – including all small, medium and large office printers, production printing presses, large-format printers, software solutions and IT services. “We welcome Mr. Sannomiya to Canada and know that the many years of experience he brings will help shape our business into the future,” said Nobu Kitajima, President & CEO of Canon Canada. “During times like these, we are confident in Mr. Sannomiya’s business acumen and that he’ll bring new solutions and innovation to lead our BICG team.”
