New ISA whitepaper explores opportunities in next evolution in wide-format print

A new whitepaper from The International Sign Association (ISA), Capturing the Next Evolution of Wide Format Print Opportunities, offers insight into where the print industry is headed. The whitepaper, prepared by KeyPoint Intelligence and sponsored by EFI, looks at a number of emerging areas of opportunity – including high-end point-of-purchase and point-of-sale; short-run packaging and prototyping; soft signage; and digital labels. It also looks at niche markets, such as thermoforming, home interiors and architectural elements. The goal is to help printers explore how they “can capitalize on some of the newest wide-format print opportunities in today’s evolving industry. An extensive wide-format product line can enable sign, graphics and visual communications companies – including printers – to expand their offerings and penetrate new and emerging market segments,” the report’s authors write.
The whitepaper also reveals that today’s printers have more opportunities to broaden their service offerings – and increase revenue. But to do so, they must contend with an increasingly crowded market place and fierce competition. The whitepaper is available free to ISA and affiliated association members, or for $24.95 (USD) for non-members. For more information please visit www.signs.org/research.
