PIA launches Augmented Reality and Interactive Print Course

The Printing Industries of America (Pittsburgh, PA) has launched a new Augmented Reality (AR) and Interactive Print (IP) course in its online iLearning Center. The course will introduce printers to principles of Augmented Reality and explore the integration of multimedia content with print projects. Using AR, printers can push the boundaries beyond the printed page to introduce new revenue streams to their businesses, and produce interactive, engaging experiences for their customers, said the organization. The course will cover:

  • What augmented reality is and how it works
  • How to integrate AR with print
  • Keys to creating an engaging AR experience
  • How to create a simple AR application
  • Why marketers like AR and how to sell it

The course is free for PIA members. Non-members can access this course and other non-premium content in the iLearning Center with a one-year subscription for $995 (USD).
