Advocate Printing and Publishing, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick, has expanded its digital printing capabilities with the installation of the first Kodak NexPress ZX3300 Digital Production Colour Press in Canada. The versatile, 5-colour press features industry-leading productivity, unique print capabilities and the widest range of substrates (more than 800 qualified substrates) with offset press-like paper handling on sheet sizes up to 1 metre (39.37”) in length, said the OEM. Kodak NexPress HD Dry Inks work together with improved imaging unit components and intelligent software modules to deliver “offset-class, smooth, flat tints, richer deeper black, photo quality images, and exceptional consistency over time.” With the Matte Finish option, digitally printed pieces “take on a rich aesthetic effect that rivals offset.” The ZX3300’s unique Fifth Imaging Unit provides new creative capabilities for Advocate Printing, including:
-
Dimensional Clear – adding a tactile feel with raised/textured printing for a 3D effect. - Gold – luxurious and stunning metallic gold to heighten impact and creativity.
- Clear – watermarking, spot or flood-coating techniques, enhancing graphics and imagery.
- Light Black – ultra-high quality printing, particularly with neutral tones, gray layers and flat fields.
“The sales team and production staff are excited about the opportunities for sales growth and customer satisfaction with the recent installation of the Kodak NexPress ZX3300,” said Tom Badger, General Manager of Advocate Printing. Sean Murray, owner of Advocate Printing and Publishing, added: “As a diversified print communications company, quality, versatility and speed are imperative. The Kodak NexPress delivers on all aspects. We expect this strategic acquisition to be transformational for our clients and digital print offerings in general. And we look forward to optimizing the performance of this technology, enhancing our offerings and strengthening customer relationships.”
