Accent Impression, a family-owned business headquartered in Montreal, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year by looking back on its technological improvements throughout its history. One investment that stands out is its ‘workhorse’ Speedmaster XL 106-5+L from Heidelberg, which has allowed the printer to market to higher-end clients because of the ability of the press to produce quick turnaround times and exceptional print quality. Accent Impression depends on this press to produce its products at industry-leading speeds. Prior to the XL 106, it wasn’t keeping up with the demands requested from higher-end clients. “We were working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, and we couldn’t keep up with the workload that was being requested of us,” said President Tony Zara. “We knew that if we wanted the company to continue to grow, we had to invest in the best technology in the industry.” Accent Impression specializes in offset and digital printing, large-format, signage & POS, packaging, labels & folding carton printing, logistics & distribution, marketing materials, graphic design and much, much more.
The XL 106 is twice as fast as Accent Impression’s previous press and is helping to free up capacity in order to steadily grow the company as it goes after new business. “This press gives us the ability to turn around jobs at the last minute, which is crucial in today’s market,” Zara added. “We aren’t concerned about the outcome of our products like we used to be. We know that the quality of our work will exceed our customers’ standards, and we’ll get it to them on time.” Working with the Speedmaster XL 106 is a long list of Heidelberg Saphira Consumables, Stahlfolders and Polar cutters, which are helping to contribute to the company’s current and future success. The family business is continuously expanding, and Zara is looking to his two sons, Adam and Anthony, who have grown in the company and today, oversee all of its operations. According to Zara: “I’m particularly excited to see how the younger generation will use this industry-leading technology to take our company to the next level in the years to come.”
