The Lowe-Martin Group, with headquarters in Ottawa and production facilities in Mississauga, Ontario, provides communication solutions that span a wide range of products and services – including sheetfed offset printing, digital printing, direct and multi-channel marketing, online ordering, direct mail, large-format and security printing, in-house pre-press and bindery services, e-business solutions and warehousing and logistics. The company is continuing to maintain its leading position with the recent installation of a new high-speed, cutsheet digital inkjet press – the Komori Impremia IS29. This investment marks the first of its kind in Canada, and is the third Komori installation in Lowe Martin’s Mississauga facility, joining two Komori GL640 coaters, both with HUV curing. The Lowe Martin Group has been repeatedly recognized as one of Canada’s most environmentally progressive printers, as well as one of Canada’s top 50 businesses.

“For the past two years, we’ve been looking to take the next step when it comes to digital technology. Through this process, we’ve evaluated all available technologies in an effort to find the best fit for us and for our clients,” said Lowe-Martin COO Marc Fortier. “We selected the Komori IS29 for two reasons. It will help us grow in both the retail POP and direct-mail segments – two strategic markets for our company. Plus, our long-standing relationship with Komcan and Komori made this decision even easier. We already have two Komori GL640s and the team at Komcan/Komori has always been there for us.”
“We’re extremely pleased to have Lowe-Martin, an existing Komori customer, become our first IS29 user in Canada,” said Brett Rogers, Technical Sales Manager at Komcan. “We think this speaks volumes about the Komori product line, our after-sales support, and the relationship that Komcan has with all of our customers. Furthermore, with Lowe Martin’s broad offerings and high print quality requirements, they’ll be able to leverage this investment to the fullest extent. We’re very happy to be partnering with Lowe-Martin, yet again.” Komcan Incorporated is the sole authorized Komori distributor in Canada, representing all of Komori’s products, both in digital and offset, from coast to coast.
