Maranda Digital Print, a leading Canadian trade printer located in Vancouver, British Columbia, recently invested in three Ricoh production print systems to enhance its existing fleet. This installation included a Ricoh Pro C9100, Pro C7100X, Pro 8120SE and Ricoh Total Flow workflow software. Key technology features that will maximize Maranda’s print productivity and uptime are vacuum-fed + air-assisted feeding, and a straight paper path belt cooling system. Because of the unique capabilities of the Ricoh Pro C7100X to use clear and white toner, Maranda Digital now has a broader range of applications and product offerings for its clients, no matter what industry they’re in. With over 50 years of combined experience, Maranda is constantly improving its methods of printing to put less strain on the environment. The company specializes in a wide variety of printed products.
ricohmaranda-inKieran Austin, General Manager, added that not too long ago, this kind of equipment was incompatible with the type of work required in the commercial print space. With the recent advances in Ricoh technology, combined with high quality and consistency of Ricoh’s devices and software, these solutions are now “the ideal fit for Maranda Digital’s needs.” Also, the intuitive and user-friendly nature of the Ricoh user interface provided an easy transition to this new technology. Austin added that “Ricoh’s standout sales expertise and proactive customer service makes Ricoh an ideal partner for today and tomorrow.”
The Ricoh Pro C7100X series, for example, offers Maranda a fifth colour station to help enable a wider range of applications. The high-speed, production colour printer and multi-function device delivers the ability to print with white or clear via a fifth station, producing “near-offset image quality” on oversized media, window clings, VDP, POP displays and custom materials. The technology means that printers can now create output that differentiates them from the competition, said the OEM.
