The Reliable Printer is a Toronto-based, full in-house digital printing centre that also specializes in graphic design, book printing, wide-format, finishing and binding services, and direct-mail marketing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. The family-owned and operated digital print shop was established seven years ago.
The company’s new Xerox Nuvera 144 Digital Prodcution System (with tape-bind booklet maker) and new C.P. Bourg 3002 Eva Hot Melt Perfect Binder will expand the shop’s already successful booklet-making, finishing and digital business while improving output quality and reducing turnover times.

The Xerox Nuvera 144 features high-volume production MICR printing at up to 144 images per minute. MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) printing maintains consistent uniformity from character to character and check to check, making images durable enough to hold up in high-speed readers and sorters. Superior image quality includes 4,800 dpi x 600 dpi print resolution, and halftone screens at 85, 106, 125, 134 and 156 lpi, customizable job to job. It can be configured with up to two stacking modules or a basic finishing module, and also supports DFA-compliant third-party finishing devices.
The Bourg Binder BB3002 Eva easily creates state-of-the art, perfect-bound books. It can produce small square books to large custom sizes. The binder is ideal for on-demand, customized applications, quickly producing single books from 2 to 600 sheets (with 90 gsm). The BB3002 Eva adapts all features automatically to the thickness of each job – so no manual set-up is required. This reduces loss of productivity and allows a peak speed of 650 cycles per hour.
