The Ricoh Pro TF6250 and Ricoh Pro L5160 wide-format printers are coming to Canada this fall. Both use industry-leading Ricoh inkjet print heads that have been the gold standard with other equipment manufacturers around the globe for decades.
Excellence begins with exceptional, proven, print head technology
It’s one thing when an OEM rolls out new products. It’s quite another when those new products have already boosted the bottom lines of commercial printers worldwide. Ricoh’s Pro TF6250 (with MH5421 print heads supporting up to two colours) and its Pro L5160 (with MH5441 print heads supporting up to four colours) both feature single-pass, high-resolution printing. With 1,280 nozzles configured in 4 x 150-dpi rows, isolated ink paths enable a single print head to jet up to two ink colours. The print heads also achieve excellent grayscale reproduction at up to four levels. Made of stainless steel, they’re extremely robust and offer excellent anti-corrosion properties, resulting in an extended service life.
Ricoh Pro TF6250 wide-format flatbed UV LED printer
The Ricoh Pro TF6250 was just launched in the United States. First adopters are now driving greater profitability because this press can produce a wide range of products on rigid substrates up to 4.3” thick at up to 635 x 1800 dpi. Precise registration lets users create multi-layered and textured prints, or use tiled printing for oversized images on multiple boards. Basically, this system delivers outstanding image quality, productivity, automated daily maintenance and simple, low-cost operation. Users can produce many more applications – from indoor and outdoor signage, backlit and POP displays, art reproductions and event graphics – to promotional items, murals, short-run specialty packaging and more.
A dual-white ink configuration keeps production moving fast, reducing turnaround times. The system offers up to 7-colour printing with CMYK plus clear, white and primer. Ricoh’s Greenguard-certified UV LED inks offer exceptional image quality while variable-drop printing enables smooth gradations, exceptional grayscale printing and sharp, accurate text. A huge variety of rigid media are supported – including PVC, acrylic, styrene, wood, aluminum, corrugated, plastics and more – with a maximum printing area of 98.4” × 51.2” that can accommodate full-bleed printing. Users can produce ‘near-photographic quality’ with print speeds of up to 1,248.6 ft2/hr in four-colour draft mode, and 516.7 ft2/hr in four-colour standard mode. The printer also eliminates mounting and trimming steps.
Ricoh Pro L5160 roll-fed wide-format latex printer
The latex ink Ricoh developed for this printer includes white ink in addition to CMYK – resulting in a wider application range. Continuous, stable printing means that automated operation can be done with ease. The Pro L5160 is designed for demanding production environments that require a high-speed system for both durable outdoor signage and high-resolution indoor graphics. Delivering exceptional image quality, vibrant colours, high-opacity whites and rich blacks at up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, this system supports media up to 64” wide and features three staggered Ricoh print heads for years of predictable, precise results.
Users can print at speeds up to 502.5 ft2/h in production mode. For jobs that require fine detail at a close viewing range, it can operate at speeds up to 270 ft2/h. Ricoh’s AR2 Latex Inks are instantly dry and scratch-resistant, ready for immediate finishing and handling. From traditional signage to cutting-edge applications, the Ricoh Pro L5160 can handle posters, banners, signs, decals, window and vehicle graphics, POP displays, floor graphics, textiles/soft signage, wall coverings, fine art prints, packaging proofs and more. It can support 2” and 3” roll cores up to 55 kgs/121 lbs. Finally, Ricoh Canada’s experienced technical support team can provide on-site operator instruction, colour management, workflow, finishing and business development services for these printers, and indeed, any Ricoh products.
