Agfa Graphics’ special wide-format open house took place Wednesday, May 8 at its Canadian headquarters and production facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Attended by clients, commercial printers and other interested parties, the exclusive RSVP event focused on was how to optimize wide-format production by boosting print quality and increasing productivity, while lowering overall production costs.
Live demonstrations included the full Agfa Jeti Tauro line of wide-format digital printers – including the H3300 LED, H3300 LED RTR (Roll-To-Roll) and the H2500 LED, the OEM’s Jeti Mira LED, and the Anapurna H3200i LED, Anapurna RTR H3200i LED, H2500i LED and Anapurna FB2540i LED. Agfa and Esko also teamed up to demonstrate their integrated workflow solutions that can help print providers optimize their wide format production – including the Kongsberg C64 multi-function, super-wide digital finisher for signage, display and packaging applications that can handle virtually any substrate.
One of the most interesting areas within Agfa’s headquarters and production facility in Mississauga, Ontario is a fascinating visual glimpse of the company’s history which dates back 150 years – when a Belgian photo-products business and a German colour dye manufacturer joined forces – and grew into an internationally renowned company in the graphics and healthcare industries. Today the OEM is a major wordwide player in the wide-format inkjet market with its sophisticated flatbed printers.
