Artec Studio 12 adds more user-friendly features

Artec 3D Software’s Studio 12 is now much more user-friendly, with about 75% of new features adopted from customer feedback. “We’re proud to present our most advanced, powerful and comprehensive professional 3D scanning software yet – which is fast, smarter and easyier to use, but which still never compromises on accuracy with a variety of upgrades that guarantee a new scanning and processing experience. Artec Studio 12 is our next game-changer,” said the company. New to Artec Studio 12 is Autopilot, an advanced smart mode which guides users through 3D scanning and data processing in a few easy steps. Answer some simple questions about the object you’ve scanned, and Artec’s advanced 3D imaging software will select the most effective 3D algorithms for your data, and will also develop a high-precision model ready for use in your professional application. Optional Advanced Settings features a full range of advanced settings giving experienced users full control and flexibility. Portable 3D scanning and processing allows users to scan and process their data all on a tablet, for a fully mobile 3D scanning solution.
Artec Studio software features direct export to Design X and Solidworks, making the scan to CAD process even easier. The Artec Studio “I’m feeling lucky” button is an automatic feature for aligning mismatched scans. Previously limited to aligning two shapes, users can now achieve better results aligning multiple fusions. Making 360° models is now substantially easier thanks to Artec’s newly improved loop-closure algorithms. These are especially useful for processing large scans. Artec added that studio 12 is ideal for beginners requiring guidance in the intricacies of 3D scanning, as well as experienced professionals who want to improve their 3D workflow.
