Canadian Bank Note purchases Unicom Graphics

cbnunicomm-inCanadian Bank Note (CBN, Ottawa) has acquired Unicom Graphics and will integrate Unicom’s operations with CBN’s McAra Printing Division (Calgary) to deliver print solutions for its customers. CBN has made substantial investments in new technology at McAra over the past several years and the acquisition of Unicom is a continuation of this investment in its Calgary operation.

Arends, President & CEO of Canadian Bank Note Company. “CBN is committed to providing McAra Unicom investment and technical support to successfully grow the business.”
With the acquisition, McAra Unicom will offer high-quality lithographic print including UV technology, digital print and wide-format services, complete bindery including perfect binding, foiling and embossing, direct mail and fulfillment. “These capabilities combined with technical consultation and security services will provide customers with a unique offering,” said CBN.
