Canadian Journalism Foundation Awards set for June 16 in Toronto

cjfawards2016-inThe 25th Annual Canadian Journalism Foundation (CJF) Awards and gala celebrate excellence in journalism. This year’s CJF Tribute June 16 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto will honour Tina Brown, former New Yorker and Vanity Fair Editor, and Harold Evans, Editor-at-Large for Reuters and former editor of The Sunday Times. The CJF Tribute recognizes media luminaries who’ve made a significant impact on the international stage.

Anna Maria Tremonti, host of The Current on CBC Radio One, will be the evening’s host. The following awards and fellowships will also be presented at the event:

  • CJF Jackman Award for Excellence in Journalism
  • CJF Lifetime Achievement Award
  • CJF Innovation Award
  • CJF Aboriginal Journalism Fellowships
  • The Landsberg Award
  • Greg Clark Award
  • Tom Hanson Photojournalism Award
  • Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy
  • William Southam Journalism Fellowships
